A downtown Wilmington, NC Engagement
I’m going to start this off by saying…..I am SO proud of Morgan, Trae and myself for all surviving a massive summer heat wave of the south in the middle of downtown Wilmington with a heat index of easily 52,634 degrees!!! Haha!!! We might have all walked away DRENCHED in sweat and could barely breathe because it was so hot and muggy, but I would do it over 100 times for these 2! They definitely take the award for having the hottest engagement session I have had to date lol! We also walked away with THE BEST memories, and so many laughs and smiles! Morgan + Trae made this whole evening worth it, and I knew from the moment I met them I couldn’t wait for their wedding day!!!
This evening truly was a dream come true! We got so blessed with the most beautiful sunset that we didn’t think was going to happen, because it had been raining the good part of the day! Morgan + Trae showed up ready to rock and roll, and they looked AMAZING!
Prior to our session when we were location scouting, morgan had a vision of ending on a roof top for sunset….and I’m so happy that we made that vision come to life for her! We made our way around downtown as we got to know each other, and I have to say….I don’t know if I have ever met a couple that smiles SO easily when around each other, especially in front of a camera! We tried to find little nooks and crannies that were secluded from the LOUD downtown noise, but truthfully the best light was right in the middle of all of it, so that’s where we stayed haha!
I may have lost my voice a little from having to yell over Saturday evening downtown summer beach traffic….BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!! This light, and this couple WAS WORTH IT!!!!
I loved capturing how much these 2 love each other, and hearing about their lives! They have a dog named cooper just like we do, and that instantly made her my best friend :) They are SO go with the flow, and that is more than I could ever want out of a Sam Wynn couple! When they say “I trust whatever decision you are making” when I say…”I know this looks and sounds crazy”…is truly letting me know they are a dream SW COUPLE!
These 2 made my job so incredibly easy, and I can’t wait to see them in wedding attire SOON!! Enjoy some of my favorites below!
