Topsail Island Family Session

You will hear me say this until the end of time. I LOVE when my job as a wedding photographer brings me close to families just like THIS!

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing the Pritt family! When you look at the image above you see from left to right - Gracie (martha’s daughter), Martha (mom), Chely (martha’s daughter) and Mason (chely's husband)!

This is where I share about how my love for my job, intertwines with doing small meaningful things on this earth! Chely was a past bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed earlier in the year. My goal at every wedding is to make not only the bride & groom feel seen, special, and loved….but all of their friends and family also! Every guest they invited, every bridesmaid and groomsmen, and every family member I interact with on a wedding day, I try to make them feel special in some way!

Chely had reached out to me a few weeks ago because she remembered me from Lindsay’s wedding day and wanted me to photograph some family pictures for her, and honestly that meant more to me than anything she could have ever said! The fact that the smallest interaction I had on with her as a bridesmaid on that day made her trust me enough with her family, meant the world!

So, of course it was the quickest YES! She shared how her mom gets family pictures every year around Christmas and she wanted them done on the beach this year! Topsail Island means a lot to their family, and that’s where she wanted them done. Her sister Gracie was in town for just a short time, so we made a plan to get them done ASAP! So me and Justin packed up the boys and headed to the beach for the evening. Her mom Martha is probably the sweetest angel on earth I have ever met. She welcome us with open arms, and was just so grateful for all the smallest things.

I spent the evening getting to know them as a family along with dancing and laughing with them on the beach. We all walked away with beach blown hair, but I couldn’t have imaged it going any other way! The love that Martha has for her girls and son in law was just so outstanding it portrayed through every image I took of them. The bond that Gracie and Chely share as sisters is what you read about in books, and see in movies. They are just the best!!

We ended the evening on the dock of their home, with their sweet family dog Kelly. We had the most beautiful weather and sunset. It’s impossible to imagine a life where I didnt get to met this family! I never would have been able to do so if God didnt put this career of wedding photography in my life, and I will continue to thank Him for this life until my last breath!

Enjoy some of my favorites of our evening!
