Katie + Erik’s Church Wedding

Phew, how to even begin this. To say Katie & Erik are a dream is an understatement. They were the very first engagement session I photographed a few months ago, and they were ready to get married just a few months later on August 27th, 2022!

To see their love come full circle was something I felt beyond honored to do. At the time I did their engagement session it wasn't all inclusive in my wedding package as it is now, so I had no idea they wanted me to do their wedding until I sent her 4 sneak peaks that evening of their session! Her wedding was the second I ever photographed, and it was so magical! I loved every second of it, from getting to know their amazing family, to being able to capture some very sweet moments of the day. This was a very traditional wedding day. No first look with the groom, but she did do a first look with her dad that she is very close with (insert all the tears). She got to share her getting ready space with sweet family members, just how she wanted. Her and her future husband exchanged sweet gifts before the ceremony, and it was a pretty emotional time. Then the ceremony, oh how sweet. The look on Erik's face when Katie & her dad walked down the aisle was like no other. I can't wait for you to see below. Katie also gained a step-son that day, and she read him his own vows during the ceremony. They did communion with all of their closest friends and family. They had a very early ceremony at 9:30, so for their reception it was a breakfast! ALL THE BACON! Below you will see a very sweet moment from the reception, with a gift that Katie got for Erik, a scroll for him written in his father's handwriting from a note she found, that had passed away a few years prior, as to what he would tell his son on his wedding day. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. Then all the dancing. Most of all they wanted a laid-back day, just spending time with people they loved most celebrating this new journey in their lives, and that's exactly what they got! Enjoy being a part of Katie & Eriks wedding day below!

QUE ALL THE TEARS! This was the scroll Katie had made for Erik in his dad's handwriting as to what he would tell his son on his wedding day. Eriks mom was so emotional, and I could barely see to take pictures from watery eyes, it was so very special.
