Lindsay + Colton’s Historic Farmhouse Wedding

To be honest, there is so much I want to share about this wedding day that I have NO idea where to start!

It’s so hard to imagine a life where I wasn’t there to capture Lindsay & Colton’s wedding day! Everything about it was pure perfection. All week leading up to their wedding day everybody was stalking the weather because during the summer in NC you never know what your going to get. It called for 90% chance of storms and HAIL (spoiler alert…..it never hailed thank goodness lol) all day right up until a few hours before they said I DO! They say a little rain is good luck for a wedding day right? Thats exactly what she got all morning. It was the perfect amount of rain when we didn’t need to be outside, and it stopped just in time for the ceremony and all the events that followed!

This was the first wedding I have ever shot at The Lucas Farm….and it was BEAUTIFUL! This was also the first wedding that my sister in law Kat got to come with me to second shoot (HOW FUNNN!!!!) We got to talk to the venue owner (completely unplanned lol we happened to run into each other while waiting for the bathroom haha!) before we left that night and had the BEST conversation getting to know each other! Her and her husband own this historic farm and stay here when they are in town, and rent it out as a wedding venue also! They are the sweetest couple and it was so nice to get to know them a little before we left! It’s actually very rare that I get the chance to have good conversations like that with venue owners on a wedding day!

I knew from the moment I met Lindsay & Colton at their engagement session that I couldn’t wait for their wedding day! This day was the perfect mix of all the emotions. I loved getting to meet their parents. Seeing Lindsays mom get so emotional during so many parts of the day was quite possibly my favorite. You will see below, she is just a gem. Colton’s grandfather was the efficient, and cried during the whole first half of the ceremony….Im pretty sure everybody else was at that point too. It was the most heart felt thing.

Overall this was quite literally the best day ever. Every wedding I feel like I say this, but its so true. Couples like Lindsay + Colton are why I love my job so much. They make it easy, and such a dream. So go with the flow. So down for anything. And so appreciative of anything and everything. She had the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids, and her dad.

When you scroll through my favorites from their day, my hope is that you see how much love filled their day. How much Lindsay & Colton just enjoy being in each others presence. From the beginning of the day where it was all of their favorite friends and family surrounding them…to the very end where it ended with the most epic party!

Enjoy their wedding day below!

Lindsay wanted to do a dress reveal with her bridesmaids…and they did not disappoint! This was probably one of the best reactions I have ever seen! Lindsays mom was even crying in the hallway because it was so sweet :) SO many happy squeals, laughs and cries!

She dedicated her bouquet to her mom *cue all the heart eyes*
