Mikaela + Stanley’s Lake Engagment
Welcome to Mikaela & Stanley’s Engagement Session!
How do you start when you have so much to say?
I don’t know what I did in my life to deserve a Mikaela & Stanley, but I’m so thankful I did it because I couldn’t imagine a life where i didnt get to experience these two! SO SO MUCH FUN!
Its little things like what I’m about to share, that constantly show me God has me here for a purpose, and I get to do what I love every single day.
When Mikaela reached out about her wedding and we were talking details, she had shared the venue she was getting married at, and what im going to say would probably be on the bottom of the list of things you would guess - ITS AT THE SAME WEDDING VENUE ME & JUSTIN GOT MARRIED AT 7 YEARS AGO! WHAT?! Ok God, I hear you, and see you. Considering that is the very reason wedding photography is so near and dear to me for those that know my wedding story. Just further confirmation I am continuing Gods work here on earth.
Fast foward to their engagement session, it got rescheduled because of weather, and im honestly so thankful it did because the weather we had yesterday couldnt have been more perfect. Not too hot, or cold. No clouds. A beautiful sunset. And just the time of year where if you get in the water in NC you won’t get frostbite :) AND THATS EXCATLY WHAT WE ALL DID! Them more than me haha. But I did walk away with wet pants, squishy shoes and sand everywhere, and I would do it over 1000 times to have the experience we did!
It takes a very special couple to be down for all the crazy things you ask them to do, like lay down in a lake, and splash water everywhere :) And an even more special couple to suggest to JUMP IN THE LAKE at the end! You’ll see some favs at the end!
I cannot wait until their wedding day, because if this is what we got to experience with just a few hours, I can’t wait until we get 8! They are the sweetest souls to know, and capturing their love for each other is something I will never take lightly, or forget. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session below!
